The 2020 GoodWill Eclipse Full Moon-‘I can’t Breathe’

Our June 2020 Full moon was also our Goodwill Full Moon, the third of three powerful Full Moons for the year after the Christ Full Moon celebrated at Easter(Aries FM) & the Wesak Full Moon  celebrated  at the Taurus Full Moon. Together they form a trinity that dictate the trend of the remaining nine full moons; a sacred trine of potential for birthing spiritual consciousness into physical form.

The Goodwill Full Moon is also referred to as the Festival of the Spirit of Humanity or World Invocation Day – in celebration of the highest ideals, goals & aspirations of the human race. At the time of the Goodwill Full Moon, we are called from a place of ‘goodwill’ to focus on our true nature, to embrace the truth of who we are and what connects us and choose to serve the grandest version of the greatest vision of a united Humanity.

Full moons are times of great stimulation and they have strong effects on our minds and emotions.  During a Full Moon, the Moon is sitting opposite the Sun and is fully illuminated as it reflects the light of the Sun.  The Moon & the Sun emanate frequencies and these energy waves influence the tides, and all life forms on Earth, including human behaviour and consciousness.

In this full Moon Eclipse Mars, the God of War is making an uncomfortable square to both the Sun & Moon igniting spirit and soul which translated easily into anger and outrage – the vision that comes to mind is a volcano exploding. Is it any wonder then, that Mars triggered the deep psyche of societies’ darkness and shadow(Neptune), and drove people worldwide into states of vehement rage and anger?

Mars, the God of War inspired by Neptune was locked in a T-Square with the Sun, Venus and Moon highlighting the signs of the Mutable Cross of Gemini, Virgo, Sag and Pisces; this is the Cross of Humanity.  This Cross produces the conditioning circumstances which transform the animal human into an aspirant; it is the Cross that produces great periods of change for the whole of humanity. This Cross relates to the personality ~ of the steadily developing, and finally the steadily integrating human being. At first this takes place in response to circumstance, and later to soul inclination.  This is the Cross of the responsive form, nurturing and developing the life of the indwelling Christ, the hidden Soul or Lord of Being. It is sometimes called the Common Cross because it conditions the common herd, the mass of humanity.

As we emerge from the Corona virus lockdown we face worldwide mass social protests and much unrest, the common man and woman mostly adversely affected.  The poor, the underrepresented and the underprivileged were most hit hard by the Coronavirus.  The Corona virus pandemic took many lives, some lost their dear elderly, others lost their jobs and livelihood. There is great shift in the human condition worldwide. The poor and marginalized were the hardest hit by Covid-19 and they revolted!

Our World on Fire: George Floyd’s murder by Police sparked global protests against racism …

The T-Square in Mutable Cross involving Mars, the Sun with Venus opposed to the Moon triggered volcanic eruptions, both physically and psychologically across the world. Outbursts of anger and vehement rage over long-standing injustice and racial issues erupted like volcanic eruptions across our world.

George Floyd was murdered on May 25 by a police officer in Minneapolis kneeling on his windpipe, his final words were: “I can’t breathe.”

Protests Over George Floyd’s murder by the Minneapolis police spread around the World like wildfire.   As protests over the death of George Floyd on May 25 swept thru the U.S., people around the world rallied to end police brutality and racial suppression and inequality. Incensed with anger, some marched to U.S. embassies or consulates in solidarity, while others tied the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement in the U.S. to their own struggles with racial inequality, police violence, and opposition to lockdown orders. Some protests numbered a few dozens, while others had tens of thousands of marchers. Many, like their counterparts in the U.S., faced police forces that deployed tear gas but they remained undeterred in their protests

In London, thousands of people opposed lockdown orders and marched from Hyde Park to Parliament Square. This followed in the wake of a demonstration in front of the U.S. Embassy on May 31. Some then marched to Grenfell Tower the site of a 2017 fire that killed 72 people, many black and Arab. Protesters also gathered in Berlin; Rotterdam, Netherlands; Milan; Madrid; Dublin; Zurich; Copenhagen; and Athens, Greece, as well as in other European cities, large and small.  Several other countries marching in support of Black Lives Matter linked it to their own struggles with police violence. A May 28 protest in Rio de Janeiro called for an end to Federal Police operations inside favelas, the densely populated, low-income neighborhoods that house a quarter of the city’s nearly 7 million residents.

Protests Over Police Abuses Flare Again in Mexico’s Two Largest Cities. Protests over police abuses spread to Mexico City and stones were thrown at US embassy.  Reuters reported masked men and women protested police abuses, vandalizing buildings and threw stones at the U.S. Embassy; Mexican state authorities arrested three officers in a bid to quell anger over the death of a man in police custody.

In summary, the polarized ways of our world are crumbling and we need quantum leap in consciousness to transcend the challenges of our time. This Full Moon Eclipse heralded us in to uncharted ground as it marked the first of a trilogy of Eclipses over the next few weeks.   Combined with so many planets in retrograde we were headed into an eclipse season beginning with this FULL MOON Lunar ECLIPSE in Sagittarius on June 5th 2020. Eclipses usually come in sets of 2, but this year they come in sets of 3, so this is the first of these three consecutive eclipses which continue to precipitate life-changing shifts in consciousness worldwide.

This is the first of three eclipses in this eclipse season, which also features a solar eclipse in Cancer on 21st June 2020 and another lunar eclipse oi Capricorn on 5th July 2020. Eclipses are times of great power when mighty forces are unleashed, so we need to stay alert to their action in our lives.

Astrologer Alex Myles tells us that “an eclipse is a temporary interruption of universal energy between the sun, moon, and earth, and during them, we may also notice an abrupt halt of energy happening in our own lives. This temporary seizure offers us the opportunity to gain perspective on where we are at and where we want to be heading, before pressing reset and clearing the karma to everything we have previously gone through.

Eclipse cycles pull us into intense healing phases where we break out of old and harmful patterns of behavior—they force us out of situations that are toxic, unfulfilling, and that lower our vibration. We will likely feel the need to free ourselves from anyone or anything that feels toxic, dysfunctional, or harmful………We may feel compelled to end a relationship, declutter belongings, make a career change, quit bad habits, change certain beliefs, make a major lifestyle decision, move home, or even relocate to a new city or country. The changes that happen are often things we have been working hard to manifest, and the eclipse helps us along by moving our lives accordingly, as it magnetically pushes and pulls, organising and calibrating energetically.”

The penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius occurred on June 5th ushered us into the second eclipse season of 2020. An Eclipse Season reveals what is usually relegated to the shadows. It is a time for purging toxins and eliminating dysfunctional ways of living. It signals moments of important changes in our lives.  A Lunar Eclipse provides a quantum opportunity to release deep-seated wounds, move beyond old fears and to transcend negative patterns or traits within the shadow self.  It is time to ECLIPSE anything that may be holding you back.

This eclipse occurs with the Sun and Venus in Gemini opposed to the Moon in Sagittarius.  The topics of respiratory health are very much in the air; ‘I can’t Breathe’ is the slogan for the uprising. COVID-19 is a lung disease and GEMINI rules the lungs. VENUS RETROGRADE helps us to focus on the simple act of being mindful of our breathing. This crazy pandemic offers us opportunities to expand our consciousness if only we regulate our breathing ourselves rather than being choked or stifled.

It all started with the NEW MOON at 2+ degrees Gemini on 22nd. May at 6:38 pm UT. It had a multiplicity of planets including the SUN and MOON all placed in Gemini.   The Gemini New Moon had 7 Gemini placements with asteroids Hygeia and Vesta with Mercury and Venus Retrograde in a tight conjunction squeeze; Gemini rules the lungs and the breath in medical astrology. A perfect synchronicity of the current Covid-19 world attention-grabbing situation.

This was a rebellious NEW MOON as SATURN at 1 degree RETROGRADE in AQUARIUS trines the SUN and MOON in Gemini; many people were getting restless from being quarantined and want answers; we see rebellions and protests begin to escalate at this New Moon in Gemini. The May 22 new moon at 02°04′ Gemini was trine Saturn in a very tight orb. But there were some catches to beware of as Mercury and Venus conjunct were both retrograde square Neptune, a very confusing and deceptive influence colored by ‘fake news’ and perhaps the spread of the virus into our lungs; but the people were fed up with the isolation or quarantine measures without any clear reason.

We have talked about Mars trigger of the massive world unrest but there is also the Saturn square Uranus aspect which triggered the US Ascendant and not only the George Floyd’s murder crisis but also sparked rebellion and the kicking against the limitations of freedom from the Coronavirus lockdown. Mars, Ruler of the US Scorpio rising chart here again triggered the progressed US Sun.The Eclipse chart clearly show  inflammatory influences, in particular  the Sun square to both Mars and Neptune, and the Moon in opposition to Venus–Neptune, with Uranus square to Saturn.  It is worth noting that Uranus–Saturn square carries a powerful symbolism of revolutionary trends actively confronting stagnated backwards-sinking establishments.

An additional pointer to inflammation was the Sun/Moon on the fixed stars axis of Aldebaran–Antares during 27 May to 3 June. Both stars relate strongly to Mars violence. Sun–Aldebaran conjunction is often described as bringing danger from quarrels and the law. Combined with the Sun, Antares can express itself through malevolence, destructiveness and liberality.

The Lunar Eclipse was also aligned with the Great Attractor (GA) activating its influence in our awareness. The Great Attractor (GA) is a gigantic mass in space which pulls our Milky Way galaxy, and many other galaxies towards it. The Great Attractor is known by its effect on the movement of galaxies across hundreds of millions of light years . Its mass is equivalent to the mass of tens of thousands of Milky Ways.  Since the GA continuously draws us toward itself, it represents the inexorable pull of our Higher Destiny. When it is activated in our collective awareness through events such as an eclipse, new insights and unexpected viewpoints become possible. We can experience a major shift in our perceptions and beliefs, which in turn alters our trajectory in the unfoldment of our consciousness.

As our Sun transits in alignment with the fixed stars axis of Aldebaran–Antares and the Great Attractor, report that the Sun unleashed the biggest flare since 2017. They wonder if our Star is waking up? The Sun is our Star and is seated in the heart of our Solar System. Could our hearts be awakening to show more kindness, love and compassion for ourselves and the less privileged? Are we ready to awaken our heart center?

The Sun, symbol of our heart may be coming out of its slumber at long last. The sun, our Star on the morning of May 29, fired off its strongest flare since October 2017, an eruption spotted by NASA’s sun-watching Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO).  Solar flares are bursts of radiation that originate from sunspots, temporary dark and relatively cool patches on the solar surface that boast very strong magnetic fields.

We are in a time of collective and personal awakenings to what has been in the shadows, oppressed and imbalanced across our world. We are in the process of awakening which can be painful, because new realities challenge the status quo. We are told that “Our collective lens has focalized the experience of our black brothers, sisters and relatives that continue to be subjected to racism rooted in white supremacy and abuse that has been systematically allowed to perpetuate. Our expanding realizations are transforming into bridges of solidarity and action calls to the ways we can each proactively participate in the active dismantling of the oppressive systems that we consciously or unconsciously maintain….in the process of things dismantling, disassembling, and crumbling, we can feel unstable and this is why change is often so dreaded. But we are the changemakers of this time, and we are here at this time for a reason. “

We each carry our own truth, but a universal truth is that we’re all here ultimately to learn to love.   Teachers like the Buddha and the Christ have all echoed this truth: Life is a school of learning, and we are here to learn to love. That Love is the greatest force for Good and is that which can heal our wounds and help us forgive and move on.At this time, like Rumi said, that is our task, and not only to love but to seek to dissolve “all the barriers within yourself that we have built against it.” It is also a time to have courage and not be afraid to communicate, even as it makes us feel increasingly more vulnerable. It is time to transform our fears to faith in the goodness of life.  Vulnerability is the straight path of the heart, the direct access point. Gemini continues to teach us that through communication we can heal our separateness and isolation, thru the awakening of our heart chakra.

What happens when heart chakra opens?

When your heart chakra is opening, you experience intense grief, depression and other mental difficulties, because your spiritual being is purged off its impurities. These contaminants were the precursor of your negative energies; they disrupted your ability to love.

How to Open the Heart Chakra

ALLISON MICHELLE DIENSTMAN, CONTRIBUTOR  from  guides us on How to Open the Heart Chakra:

The Heart Chakra at a Glance

Name in Sanskrit: Anahata – meaning unhurt

Location: Center of the chest

Color: Green

Element: Air

Signs of balance: The ability to love and forgive yourself and others

Signs of imbalance: Hatred, selfishness, jealousy, and fear of betrayal

Meaning “unhurt” in Sanskrit, the Anahata or heart chakra refers to a place where no hurt exists. When the heart chakra is in balance, we feel a free flow of love and compassion. Those who feel hurt from the past live with a blocked heart chakra and come from places of pain, fear, and distrust of themselves and others.

How to Open the Heart Chakra

Burn Anahata incense and essential oils.

Aromatherapy has powerful healing properties that can awaken feelings of love and forgiveness. Top open the heart chakra, burn essential oils, candles, or incense with scents of rose, lavender, sandalwood, orange, and jasmine.

Repeat positive affirmations about love

Negative thought patterns can prevent love from flowing freely. Positive affirmation set intentions that break old habits and create new ones. To open the heart chakra, repeat affirmations that invite love and compassion such as:

  • I welcome love with an open heart.
  • My heart is free from all the wounds of the past.
  • I forgive others, and I forgive myself.
  • I am open to love and receive more of it every day.
  • I naturally attract love everywhere I go.
  • I create supportive, loving relationships that are good for me.

Practice postures that open the heart

Holding postures with mindful breathing helps release tension and open the heart chakra. Poses like upward facing dog, camel, and bridge drive the chest toward the sky and open the Anahata chakra.

Give love to receive love

The best way to receive love is by giving it. What can you do each day to show love to those around you? Try smiling at those you see. Forgive old grudges and let go of past grievances. Avoid criticizing yourself and others. Compliment the people you know on their strengths and achievements. Going out of your way to be kind to others will help bring balance to the heart chakra.

Side-effects of the Heart Chakra Awakening

When your heart chakra is opening, you experience intense grief, depression and other mental difficulties, because your spiritual being is purged off its impurities.  These contaminants were the precursor of your negative energies. They disrupted your ability to love.  For you to unleash the powers of your heart chakra, you must first learn to understand and handle the effects of sorrow and gloom.

The Anahata awakening has numerous physical and mental side-effects, but they’re nothing to be alarmed about.  After successfully enduring them, you can reap the gifts of your suffering. You can finally feel what it’s like to see the world for what it is. The illusions of this deceptive world will no longer shroud your eyes once you’re spiritually ascended.  For more please go to:

The awakening of our Heart Chakra brings us to the second stanza of the great World Prayer or Great Invocation. This Gemini Solar Festival has many names – Festival of Humanity, Festival of Goodwill, of Unification & of Humanity and World Invocation Day.  At the Gemini Festival, the last sermon of the Buddha is preached to the Disciples by the Christ. What is this sermon? It has eight (8) points.

  1. Have no expectations as to the outcomes of desire.
  2. Be content.
  3. Be serene.
  4. Allow every moment of life be a meditation.
  5. Follow the teachings (not the teacher).
  6. Know that everything always changes.
  7. Remain the observer.
  8. Know that All is One.

Here is the Great Invocation:

From the point of Light within the mind of God

Let Light stream forth into the minds of All,

Let Light descend on Earth

From the point of Love within the heart of God

Let Love stream forth into the hearts of All

May Christ return to Earth

From the center where the Will of God is known

Let Purpose guide the little Wills of All

The Purpose which the Masters know and serve

From the center which we call the Human Race

Let the Plan of Love and Light work out

And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

When you see the title “The Christ” if you are so inclined please substitute “World Teacher,” “Bodhisattva,” “Imam Madhi,” “Krishna,” “Kristos,” “Avalokiteshvara,” “Maitreya,” “Messiah,” or any other term used to describe this Great Being. Andyou can substitute “Enlightened Ones” or “Wise Ones” for “Masters”. For your enjoyment, a video explaining some of this. “World Invocation Day”
